FAQ

1. What is media bartering?

Media bartering is a process that involves specific media companies. Their main job is to create media campaigns that are exchanged and paid in goods by Italian advertising brands. These goods are valued at a very competitive price and can be purchased by you directly from media barter companies, taking advantage of barter negotiation.

2. Where do these products come from?

The goods come from inventories of Italian brands. They can either be in media barter warehouses or, in some cases, even in Italian brand stores. We can tell you according to the deal. The majority of goods are made in Italy.

3. Which categories are involved?

Any category of goods: fashion, furniture, home accessories, food & wine, watches, jewellery, fashion jewellery, cosmetics, beauty products, etc...

4. Why could BaBridge help me?

We are in direct contact with best selected media barter companies and are constantly updated on the most interesting offers going on. With our help you can buy directly from them and make sure you close the best deal.

5. Why are the discounts so high?

This happens for two main reasons: the first one is that media barter owners negotiate huge lists of items and can therefore optimize the cost; the second one is that the process is based on the compensation between products and advertising. On top of that, sometimes selected goods come from the previous season, have been discontinued or simply overstocked.

6. Is there any conflict with regular distribution?

Although the discount could be higher than the one granted to an official dealer, there is no conflict because we know brand limits up front and we totally respect them. If, for example, a brand does not want to sell in Spain, we will never propose that list in Spain (and we do love Spain...).

7. Which are the disadvantages?

There are two main disadvantages:

  1. Most of the time there is no continuity of goods and brands. If you are looking for a specific product and you want to keep on selling the same item or the same brand, we can try to promote an open media campaign with certain selected brands, sharing necessary information about distribution.

  2. Quality of images is not always the best. If you need high quality images, we must select from a reduced list of deals.

8. Which is the best way to buy?

Especially for big orders we usually suggest coming to Italy yourself and checking the assortment of goods in the warehouse of media barter companies. The visit is worth it, because you might discover a whole world of deals, even the ones you did not expect… Alternatively you can choose from the list we supply, we will be pleased to support you and supply you with the best available images and relative tech sheets.

9. Is there a high percentage of defected items?

Media barter companies do not barter defected items. The percentage of non-complying items is exactly the same as a regular production, with the difference that you have a much better pricing.

10. Should I buy the whole lot or can I buy just some pieces?

It depends on the offer. Most of the time you can buy a minimum quantity, but if you are looking for the best deal we suggest purchasing the whole lot.
